A quieter place to find children's books
First Reads helps parents, caregivers, teachers and gift-buyers find age-appropriate children's books, keep track of what a child owns or has read, and decide what to read next.
Most book sites are built for adult readers and adult social networks. Children's books are different: the buyer is rarely the reader, age suitability matters more than genre, and the same twelve favourites get read three hundred times.
So we kept the scope deliberately narrow. Browse by age range and theme. Save a book as wanted, read, owned or liked. Build a list per child, per birthday or per classroom term. Share a list with a grandparent without exposing anything about the child. Then follow a link out to a bookshop or your local library catalogue.
There is no feed, no follower count and no child login. Reviews come from adults and are moderated before publication.
